Good game for Smith, looks like the lions news has done wonders

That so clearly went forward from the fumble. Ah well, doesn't
matter. Shame we waited until we were gone to put in a
performance.

Only watched bits but good to see a decent win and sounds like
we could have had more. Sadly all a little too late but some
pride restored in a showpiece game

Quins were very good in the first half. It just seemed that
nothing clicked for Glos. They're a lot better than that result
suggests. We know how that feels. Lots went right for us. Fine
margins etc. Some standout performances individually. At long
last we seem to have fielded a balanced back line.
Looking forward to seeing more of Streeter. He'll be a big lad
when he fills out.

Have to be happy with that. Much better attacking shape and
tactical approach. Very few poor kicks, lots of inventive
running. Marcus was excellent, his best game in ages. Green's
drop aside (and he should've passed!!!!) he was magnificent, but
then others did pretty well - WEv was an absolute animal, the
wings made hay (please pass more, Isgro), Porter did exactly
what we needed, etc.
A word on Waghorn - watch the Murley hat trick try again and
you'll see just how much the space that Isgro has is down to the
line run by Waghorn. He doesn't just run a good line, he
absolutely hammers it and the defence is completely convinced
he's getting the ball. He was excellent again, both centres were
superb in defence and very physical in attack and our back 3
profited as a result. That huge hit and turnover on Atkinson was
a real highlight.
Nice to see the 18 year old very solid in the scrum, and Baxter
gave Fasogbon a bit of a going over as well. Even Walker was
excellent - for once Jibulu was a step down!
Obviously it's all far too late in the season but I can't help
but wonder if the reversion to our more successful style of play
is a genuine recognition of where we've been going wrong. It's
no surprise that Tyrone Green had an amazing game considering he
carried it 14 times, passed it 8, and kicked it only once - that
endless kicking has been put to bed, even though we made hay
early on by bullying the life out of Wade. Smart rugby for once.
Let's see what the remaining games show us. It would be good if
this was a reset.
According to the stats, our back 3 made nearly 400m between
them!!! (Isgro 155m, Murley 140m, Green 102m)
edit: and 22 defenders beaten, too (Green 10, Isgro and Murley 6
each)
