Daly made a very positive contribution in the 6N and his value
to a touring squad as someone who can cover OC, wing and
fullback is high.
Pleased for Marcus, though. It’ll be interesting to see if the
Lions can create a better environment for him than England.

Think they wanted a left boot backup for Lowe. Glad it was Daly,
not Jamie Osborne.

Daly had his career ruined by Eddie Jones’s moving him to
fullback, and then his club doing the same, would have been a
great inside centre if he had been left alone, has always played
well for England and is an experienced Lion.

Daly deserves it, good utility role for the 6n and that is a key
component for the Lions, expect him on the bench I reckon.
Good for Marcus.
Interesting no Jack Willis/Ribbans but not huge shocks. Pleased
for Pollock too

"It is about different combinations. On tour the games come
thick and fast. You have got to have those hybrid players that
are able to fill in.
"As we know it is one hell of a schedule. 10 games in six weeks
will test everyone.""
Think this says it all about both Marcus and Elliot Daly, both
could be in the 23 but more likely the Wednesday team and step
up as required. That said, training form could change it all
once they get down under, not to say injuries between now and
the tour and once the tour starts.
