Harlequins vs Exeter - No trains
DIR By: MaidstoneQuin
Date: May 1, 2025, 3:09 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
For those of us who travel to show unwavering support for the
team via the rail network, there will be no trains between
Clapham Junction and Barnes on the 18th May.
The replacement bus will add about 50 minutes on to the journey.
Unless anyone has got any better ideas getting to the stoop from
London terminals?

There should be a train to Twickenham via Kingston.
It is strange that when you put the origin/destination search it
doesn't show this option.

Thanks for this! Not once has any journey planner/national rail
website suggested this option.

Waterloo to Wimbledon then the Kingston loop should work

There’s no need to go to Waterloo and then Wimbledon. There will
be 3 trains an hour from Waterloo (2 semi fast and 1 slow)
calling at Clapham, Wimbledon and Kingston. There’s also a
shuttle from Richmond to Twickenham as well which will connect
with the District line and the Overground. Less choice than
usual but not quite as awful as it could be.

So there are trains. Perhaps this thread could be renamed or
maybe just removed?

Let's not bully the casual fans, they can't be expected to pay
attention to the detail

Dear esteemed posters above, please advise in regards to my post
what is incorrect.
Ill give you two options
Option 1 : Did I see say are NO trains (in the body of the
message, the subject is just that)
Option 2: Did I say there are no trains between XX and XX
I get you dislike me because I have predicted the current
events, but come on now. Straws and clutching comes to mind. Bit
embarrassing fellas...
I would also invite you to try the national rail journey
planner, which does not feature the options above suggestions
from members who have more local knowledge of train routes which
*Amazingly* I am not exposed to due to not having this issue
previously. Thank you to AdrianB for his input and assistance.
Now ask yourself, If i was a brand new poster, would you have
replied the same? Answer that please. I also asked a question
looking for advice, not a good example you are setting if you
want to be whiter than white to new members.

I think I can speak for everyone when I say your imagined
accuracy regarding predictions is not why everyone finds you so
grating xx
