Felt more at the time but it was a tragic fixture for experience
wise. Hopefully if Wasps and Irish return eventually it stays in
the past

Agreed. The LDH was always dire. I don't know why but it was
always substantially worse than any other big fixture. I suppose
at least with BG and BSKO and Sarries showdown there's ownership
of the whole thing from one club. The LDH was just sort of
thrown together.

Yes, the LDH was rubbish. Except for the last 30 minutes in 2012
where we came back from 40-13 to beat Wasps.

I don't think it was connected to BG, though it happened around
the same time; Mark Evans had said for a couple of years that
giving up a home game for LDH didn't work for Quins because we
were already making more from home games at the Stoop. So we
agreed to be the 4th team at the LDH, but always on an "away"
basis, which actually worked for all concerned as the remaining
three "revenue partner" teams were sharing the money 3 ways
rather than 4 until the whole thing fell apart.
The good news for those who hated it is that given we can get
45k at BSKO in a bad year, even a sellout LDH probably wouldn't
make economic sense for Quins as an alternative.
