By the way, did anyone else get an Allianz Stadium email.woth
details for the day followed by one saying "Sorry, we made a
mistake, if you're receiving this email you do not have a
ticket"?
Not sure I can be bothered to ring the club...

It doesn't help that the kickoff isn't til 5:30pm. Gloucs fans &
those coming from further away like myself are looking at
getting back home around 11pm depending on trains, so it's less
attractive as a day out. If Bristol hadn't plumped for today to
have their game in Cardiff, things would've been different. We'd
have probably had the 3pm K/O & TV coverage that they've got. As
it is, with Cardiff being a pain in the proverbial to get away
from after games as it is (and all the fans heading the same
way), they've had the benefit of the earlier timing and TV
coverage this time round.

I don’t think there is any one specific reason but it all
amalgamates into why it’s a much lower turn out.
For me, the kick off time is awkward. I don’t fancy eventually
getting back in round 10pm+ after travelling. Secondly the cost,
a day out at rugby isn’t that cheap and with train, ticket, and
some liquid to oil the wheels I’ve cleared £150+. I made the
choice to go to the Exeter game for this month as I couldn’t
afford to do both, and it’s just better because it’s a 3pm kick
off and a bit more intimate at the Stoop so it was always going
to be my preference of the 2.
Lastly, the BSKO is a hand reaching out to the fans or potential
fans who otherwise wouldn’t look at rugby much. They are better
than ST holders to the club for what the powers that be want,
they spend more on merch on the day, and probably will buy more
food and drink as possibly not as local. But without a team
playing attractive winning rugby, and with the London based side
having nothing to play for it’s a bit of a dud sell.
I think last year it was around 56,000. I think it will be about
12,000 less than that, and that is a hefty chunk of the profit
missing.

I'm not sure we would have been bringing a group of 14 for my
daughter's birthday if I'd realised how poor Quins have been
recently....

Personally, I think that a teams standing in the league makes
very little difference to these games.
I went to the women's game recently and I had an idea to make
loads of money.
Basically, you have a day in the summer, spring. Open all the
bars, coffee stalls and food places.
And then you get everyone into the bowl for two hours of Mexican
waves.
Don't bother with anything on the pitch.
Everyone will spend loads and have a great time.

We have been pretty rubbish recently and we have nothing to play
for.

According to the match report on the Quins website, there were
close to 50,000 attending.
Not got the exact figure though. Hopefully The Rugby Paper will
have it tomorrow. They normally publish the figures.

A point of order!
Traditionally, we only talk about attendance for women's matches

It was a pretty good day out.
Weather was great.
The band in the west village before the game were pretty good.
Feeder were probably the best pre game act that we have had
imho.
Massaoke were superb as always.
A few pints before, during, and after the game ending with a
curry.
Nice!
Nice to get a win too.
