Doing everything to keep the club a going concern when so many
are in danger is no bad thing. Every club is trying to find as
       much revenue as possible.

       Broadly agree with all this.
LD is in a different league to his predecessor. DE always
sounded and looked out of his depth. The playing side has
definitely been somewhat neglected and as you say I hope BSKO
potentially being a lower than hoped crowd may act as a kick up
the bum. Even more so if we get trounced on the pitch.

I don’t believe the playing side has been neglected, that would
mean a relatively easy fix. I think Laurie has trusted
professional coaches and they just aren’t very good at their
jobs for whatever reason. The facilities are great and are
being invested in, the academy is strong and the finances are
improving. IMO we are playing badly because of tactics that
don’t seem to land with the players and coaching which isn’t
helping that to happen. I don’t see how that is down to Laurie
and I expect he’s going to act. If he doesn’t soon, then he
starts to take responsibility for not sorting it out.

Realistically, it's just a case of getting to the end of the
season now, isn't it? Sure, it would be nice to cut Wilson now
and give it to NEv as caretaker, but if there are financial
ramifications to ending DW's contract early then maybe it's
better to just grit and bear it until the end of this season and
then come to a "mutual agreement" and reset in the summer.
Either way, I have very little doubt Laurie is already looking
for our next HC. We're definitely not going to be able to hand
the reins to that person straight away though - so then it comes
down to the financial impact of cutting Wilson a few games early
vs letting him see out the season.
Obviously, from a players and supporters perspective, it would
be lovely to see him go now, giving us a chance of rallying for
the last few games and have the players going into the summer
break realising they can play rugby, rather than dreading next
season... but it seems more likely we'll just make up the
numbers on the field for now and the reset will come in the
       summer.

BSKO looks a bit of a white elephant event for the club on
current viewing. No top tier for HQ (granted it usually isnt
open anyway) and the remaining 2 levels look half empty, which I
think is good news as it will send a message to the club.
(Namely corporate success isn't guaranteed without the main
focus being as it should always be, with the team on the field
bringing people to the game in the first place). If 50,000 is
the break even point (I think it is?) then we are going to be
below that this year, as last year was 58k. Comparing the
previous crowd snaps for what this one could look like, might be
a few awkward conversations in the boardroom.

Looks like the Army Navy game this weekend has sold more

I think 50k is the breakeven for the Big Game (all of the
       stadium open, higher cost).
I'm sure for BSKO I saw 30k as the break even but could be
       wrong.

Didn't look like it to me. I must admit I thought the Army v
Navy game normally sold out, though, but maybe not these days.

Not looked at sales but I know they are now limited to lower and
middle due to previous issues with the crowd in Twickenham town
       and residents concerns.

I just looked at ticket availability - in a not very scientific
       way. [emoji1]
