As a Bath fan (ex-club member) what I feel Bath have done over
the last 2/3 years since Van Gran arrived is to have invested
heavily in the Academy programme. We're increasingly less
reliant on buying up experience and more successful in bringing
through young players who have bought into the ethos and
aspiration of Bath Rugby. To be fair, it's what we did
previously but was lost over the last 15/20 years.

Whilst also performing Chelsea style accounting/ Contract
structuring to beat the current salary cap rules….

The team seem totally demotivated
When Wev came over to where we all sat on Saturday you could see
it on his face
Hindsight is a wonderful thing but this season has just been
planned terribly
First off we say we are” Building the academy players” yet for
plenty of the Prem cup games we run out well established
players, and we know how well that went
We are bound to hear the usual “ We are playing for our place in
Champions cup” line rolled out again soon, when let’s be honest
it’s a done deal, I’ll be really surprised if we use the
opportunity to run out plenty of youngsters and start trying to
build a team, and no doubt will hear next season “ We building
the academy players” & “ These things take time” lines again
