Famously, Deano never hurt this club

Well, if Deano learned no lesson from his time out then
certainly I wouldn't want him. If he could galvanise our attack
and solidify our defence, I'd take him in a heartbeat. The
problem is there aren't that many people around with a proven
record in doing that to a team of under achievers (I think
that's what we have to admit this season is).
And if we do get "a name", we know from the history of football
managers (and some rugby managers) that doing well at one team
does not mean you'll do well at another. For sure, you're going
to be dealing with a different dressing room in the new club
from the old. There will be different management constraints,
political constraints, money constraints, contract constraints.
So "a name" is no guarantee, but we've tried promoting from
within, we've tried getting names (Deano, O'Shea, Gustard).
We had some success with the current coaches initially, but
other teams twigged how to defend against "the Harlequins Way".
I don't see us developing "Harlequins Way II", more like
slavishly following the rest of the premiership. We have an
attack coach but no attack, a defence coach but no defence, a
scrum coach but no scrum...
Is it time for a wholesale clear out or at least a serious of
re-examination of who we have and what they can offer in the
future? Is the current set up too cosy for some?

Nick Easter is doing a great job at Chinnor on almost no money.

Knowing our luck Wilson probably will be here next season after
promising to sign the rolling stones to play at the next big
game, but I just hope whoever does replace him is certainly more
attacking minded.
Personally I would stay away from the likes of Rowntree being
mentioned elsewhere. Lancaster may be a good option. My main
pick would be Ronan O'gara but I can't see him coming here which
overall would be a big step backwards.
Hopefully we get someone with a more backs mentality in, rather
than a stick it up your jumper forward play type. Think more
Scott Robertson than Steve Borthwick..

Ross is one for the future, but I think he and the club are
better served by letting him develop his skills (and a bit more
distance from the current squad) with Quins Women for a few
years.
