From what he’s said since retirement it wasn’t the only factor
but it was certainly part of his decision making.

What’s Marler supposed to have said then? A few of us still
don’t do social media particularly.

Has said “ Time to walk”
Let the lunatics back in charge , and a few other things
Heard that Wilson is very much “ It’s his way or the highway”
and if you don’t agree or suggest something else, you get
dropped
Look at how long Wev didn’t make the team sheet as an example.
The prem cup was a golden opportunity to give the youngsters
game time and build, but he kept pulling out older more senior
players in the hope 0f doing well in comp
It didn’t go down well

So that worked out well, then.

It’s nice even the most rose tinted supporters can see Wilson
isn’t the right person, and let’s be honest we have a pretty
poor track record of appointing the right man.
O’Shea for me was the last real good move.
Kingston, Gustard, Matson and Wilson were all sub standard
picks. I hope we get it right (finally) next time round, as it’s
hardly good the last time we played great rugby was when we
sacked a bloke and someone stepped up

According to Friends of the Stoop Wilson could be off to coach
Wales on their summer tour. Not sure if the rumour means a
sabbatical or gone from Quins for good or even how much
substance there is to the rumour. Would be good if he went now
so we can salvage pride for the season and recruit well.

Think that's supported by this article in Wales Online, JS:

Suggests he'd be a candidate for long-term forwards coach. Bomb
also referenced so hopefully some of it's just speculation.

Hopefully this is Wilson touting for work as he knows he won't
have a job in a few weeks

Should be sent on his way out the door now collecting his P45
with imediate effect.

Personally this should be the case. It's too late to have the
same effect as Gustard leaving during a season, but seemingly as
all we have realistically left to play for is pride might as
well try and boost some morale for the high paying fans who turn
out to watch them. An expected heavy defeat to Tigers would put
a real downer on the BSKO so a bit of a marketing own goal for
any late ticket sales unless its Gloucester fans who seemingly
have more to play for than we do. Considering Wilson has also
had conversations about Wales from what's in the articles, its
probably better if he goes now anyway.
