Harlequins player ratings

It would be easy to assume Harlequins played dreadfully in this
62-0 thrashing in Croke Park, but it was more a case of being
utterly outclassed by their opposition.

Bit harsh on Waghorn, the game's top tackler with only one
missed from 19 attempts.

Think those ratings were generous wouldn’t give any player more
than a 3.

I thought Waghorn was one of the few bright spots for Quins -
made yards, including in contact, and as you say was defensively
very strong.
The issue for me was that Leinster had a good plan to stop Quins
getting quick ball, which the ref generously helped them with,
and Quins had no plan B to cope with what has always been this
squad's Achilles' heel: our plan A relies on fast ball and
unsettled defences, and we've only tended to beat teams that
have ultra rapid line speed when we do something different like
chip over them to keep them unsettled.
Quins just seemed out of ideas, from a pretty early point in the
contest.

Hopefully it dosen't dent Waghorns confidence too much. I do
think we are putting an awful lot of expectation on to the
shoulders of a player who essentially a few months ago wasn't
really in the picture.
I think its showed we do need an established 12, rather than
hoping Waghorn turns into a world beater overnight. Competition
for places will only be a good thing

I'm not too worried, he seems to have a great attitude and Quins
are pretty good at protecting players. They'll point to all the
good things he'll have done in the game. I'm sure he'd have
loved the experience of playing against Leinster in Dublin
despite the result

Sadly not heard anything since the gossip broke around
Christmas.
Perhaps its waiting on the official announcement about Lennox
being off, as I'm certain there hasn't been one yet.

Will any Quins player be chosen for the Lions tour of Australia?
I doubt it! Andy Farrell was at the game.
