Well done Alex for putting out a statement, the result obviously
hurt the players, I’m sure non of the players would have slept
well last night. I would have liked a statement from the
coaching staff before a captain’s statement but perhaps DW
thinks the result is all down to the players.

It’s clearly written for him and is not an apology. I don’t
blame the bloke in the slightest but it’s another example of a
poor decision within the club. Just acknowledge it was bad and
say sorry. Then put it right next time we play.

Watching Wilson's interview he did look completely deflated, not
surprisingly, but I don't think I heard an apology to the fans

Doesn’t seem quite so bad a result now.

Isn't a great tournament where these international sides get to
play at home all the time and face very little jeopardy until
the very end of the competition

Well I think we all feel a little better after the Leinster vs
Glasgow result.
'Better than Ireland' - Glasgow boss Smith hails dominant
Leinster
"Not just the fact they have the best
players. Most of them have been in the number one seeded team
for a long period. They've played more than one World Cup.
"They come back and they play together at the club. You can see
that. They've been kept together for a long time.
"A lot of money has been spent. Do they play better than
Ireland? Yes, I think so.
Well, Danny Care apologised.
We do apologise for our performance out there,
we simply weren't good enough," said Care. "To play against
them, I haven't played against many better teams in club rugby
or in test match rugby, I think they were better than Ireland, I
genuinely do. You have Dan Sheehan, Jack Conan and Caelan Doris
hanging out on the wings, they're as skilful as any centre I've
played against.
