What makes anyone the authority on rugby? MQ because he
complains about EVERYTHING?
Ross played for Sarries Ams, Brentwood and Maidstone which is no
different to Craig Doyle playing for LI Ams. At least they has
some background rather than the average bloke in the pub
watching the 6Ns (who let's face it, this documentary series is
aimed at).

I know these headlines are meant to get people
watching/reading/listening but the rugby world was not “shocked
to the core”
because everyone was at it. I bet most doctors bags held a
bloodied rag just in case. I know the All Blacks one did. The
European Rugby Cup board were the only ones wanting to pursue it
and we didn’t even prosper from it so I’ve never seen what the
massive fuss was about other than to be not very good for the
sport of rugby. It’s not like we did it for years got caught
said we won’t any more , got caught again and won many trophies
and titles while doing it. And nobody having their career or
reputations ruined.
As BansteadQuin says, looking forward to the Salarycens
episodes.

They had Andy Christie on the Rugby Pod this week who was saying
that Sarries disliked Quins because "Quins kicked them when they
were down"....
Self righteous pillock.
Down because you got caught cheating like fury....

Having listened to all 6 painful episodes I feel the actual
offense is, as already stated, not particularly horrendous.
Lots of clubs practice all sorts of gamesmanship and fake
injuries. BUT - the cover up!! That really shocked me. Had not
realised just how awful that was. The lies and denials right up
to the point when Tom Williams eventually told the truth and
they couldn't deny it any more. A doctor and physio had their
careers ruined and the club lost its good name more to do with
the ridiculous cover up. Money and inducements offered to Tom
Williams to take all the blame, lawyers surrounding the club
protecting and sadly, as I admire the bloke , Mark Evans totally
culpable in the cover up. Ugo Monye when asked on the programme
said he would have taken the money from Quins and abetted the
cover up if he had been offered it which I thought said alot
about him.
So dear friends it was not the incident - more the cover up that
I think makes this a scandal. Unfortunately Saracens did not
try and cover up as witnessed by the companies in the names of
the players in plain sight at Companies House so probably the
BBC cant get 6 episodes out of that one.

I thought that the crime that Sarries were punished for was that
they refused to cooperate with an audit and wouldn't open their
books.

I think that bit came second. Didn't they get two points
deductions?
Also, I thought they refused to open their books up unless
everyone else did.

I endured all the episodes which was a hard listen, not because
of content but their target audience appears to be 5 years old.
As has been said before it’s not so much the actions (it was
common place back then) but the fall out and cover up and the
fact the club were happy to let Tom take the hit on his own.
The other thing for me from this pod was Mark Evans as much as
he’s loved by many at Quins and did some great stuff, he was at
the top of the cover up with Deano and listening to Nick
Easter’s comments was completely blaze about our chances of
relegation in that other horrible year in our history. So
playing a massive part in both.

Damn. We should have thought of that one. We're not admitting
anything until you have opened everybody elses physio bags!

I don't remember them as a club coming out in support of us over
the saga that shall not be named, so, when in Rome (which they
all we're on a motivational speaking tour, allegedly!!!)
