Sarries were never going to rest their England players on their
“big day” and I think we’ve chosen the wrong game to rest ours
considering of the two away fixtures coming up I’d fancy more a
first xv from us against Sarries than Bath, as whilst both are
probably still too hard for us, I fear the rec will probably be
a hiding

It does appear from the socials that our Eng contingent are all
resting on their hols. While we’re not playing them Saints show
theirs training ahead of their game. So I guess you can choose
when they rest.
I just hope we don’t suffer another 50 point humping at the
hands of Sarries.

Surely it's about which game teams are targeting for points?
Northampton are at home v Leicester and need a win.
We are away against one of the strongest squads, so I can see
that we would be looking to come away with 1 or 2 points, and
there's no reason to exhaust our England players for that when
there are other winnable battles. They will probably return for
game time at Bath ahead of the game at Leinster.

Yeah there isn’t any rule on them having to rest on specific
days, just overall - so we’ve always been able to choose and
have pretty much always chosen to lose against Sarries in this
game.

To be fair we usually choose to lose to them at home, too, so
we're consistent at least.
