Isn't both/and an option? There's clearly demand for each
option.
Having a designated away section will help to concentrate the
noise - we saw that in Bristol - and most clubs have a de facto
away area already (the North stand at the Stoop).
But equally, one of the best things about rugby has always been
how fans mix with each other, and I don't think the sport should
lose that. At a personal level, I much prefer to sit near the
centre line, which is usually STH territory.

Possibly supply a block of tickets to the visiting club for a
period before the game with a sale or return say 4 weeks before
kick-off. Otherwise clubs like Quins which almost invariably are
selling out could lose out. As others have said, formal
segregation is neither required or massively wanted so also
allow the status quo of visitors just buying tickets where they
wish as availability allows.

They're not proposing formal segregation are they? Just making
it easier to sit with other away supporters in a designated
block. Isn't that what already happens? I'd rather sit with
fellow quins fans at an away game, but obviously don't want
formal segregation

For those (not saying you) who haven't read the proposal -- it
is exactly for both to happen as you suggest and not for it to
progress past an area where fans who want to all be together can
do so, while others are welcome to buy tickets wherever they
would like.

Also, not only is this absolutely not an attempt to introduce
segregation, isn't it exactly what the clubs used to do -
allocate blocks/areas of seats for the opposition fans on sale
or return by a specific date?

I think we should all be segregated in a cage behind a fence as
Quinssa are an extremely violent gang..........

You should include the photos for context. He is actually
suggesting that it is a good idea.

Didn’t Irish have this for the Quins away match a few years ago?
