I wouldn’t say we’re crap, we have the backs but our forwards
very rarely dominate.

It's been clear as day for sometime now that our tight five
aren't up to it. Bath brought on the grown ups and we just
couldn't cope. We've still got talented backs, but can't provide
them a reliable platform to play from.
The lack of fight in that second half is concerning. A drab end
to the season and Wilson going seems likely.

Turned out how I think most of us thought it would. Good start
in the first half but not far ahead enough for when they empty
the bench which they did at half time. I always think it’s odd
that one team (us this time) gives away multiple penalties in a
row without the other team giving away any at all. We apparently
offended every time we attacked which killed any forward
momentum we mustered. Never mind that’s what happens away from
home.

I think it’s quite something to take the money and wider
resources/academy pathways/fan base that we have and produce a
squad that consistently under achieves. I don’t expect to win
every game but I do expect total commitment and some sense that
the coaching team can react to the flow of a game. It was so
obvious what Bath were aiming to do and we looked shell shocked
by it.

Let’s not forget we are the most expensive team to support, but
value for money? No where near. Need a complete clear out of
management and probably at least a third of our squad.

Unfortunately it just isn't working. Nev and Jones is looking
stale. We can't just keep bringing in 2nd rate props and
thinking 'wait till bomb gets hold of him'.

In matches that matter, Riley repeatedly shows he doesn't have
the game to be taking the starting shirt. Walker always, always,
always puts in a huge physical shift and his discipline and
lineout is no worse than Riley's while his defensive work and
his hard carrying is a different league.
I don't understand why Walker is a lightning rod for criticism
and Riley's failings are forgotten 30 seconds after any given
match ends.
Losing Jibulu is going to kill us because Riley is not starting
quality.

It’s so much more than a few iffy players though. This group
has no core, no need, no mission. Dommers’ desperation v Sarries
to deliver on his own was a symbol of how far away this group is
mentally. The group is going through the process but to win you
need something so much more than that.
