       Apparently Kenners had a storming game in this, and everything
       that I have read about it suggests that he may make the step up
       soon.

       After watching the game - one "law" related question came into
       my mind.
       The game was played in terrible conditions and a strong wind. It
       got worse in the 2nd half when Ireland were playing into the
       wind.
       This meant that during the 2nd half, every time that Ireland got
       a lineout, the thrown ball drifted towards the Irish team and as
       long as England jumped, they won a scrum.
       But, my question is -
       When throwing a lineout, does the ball have to travel straight
       for its full flight (which is pretty difficult to achieve in a
       strong wind)?
       Or
       Does it just need to be thrown straight initially?

       Law states:
       GLOBAL LAW TRIAL
       a. Be thrown in straight along the mark of touch towards a
       lineout player; and:
       Sanction:If the non-throwing team does not lift a teammate to
       compete for the ball, then play shall continue. If the
       non-throwing team lift a teammate to compete for the ball, then
       they shall be offered the option of a lineout or scrum as per b.
       My bold for emphasis so that would suggest "along the mark" ie
       the entire throw has to be straight

       Yeah - I couldn't understand why they kept throwing long.
       It went wrong pretty much every single time (except for the last
       throw where they scored their try from).
       It was the very definition of insanity.
