Given that he was a distinct improvement over Care when he came
on against Saracens and really lifted the pace, this seems
unnecessarily spiteful.

to be fair though Lewis has been distinctly subpar since
joining us I can't remember how many years ago. He seemed to
have been signed as the next brilliant young thing but never
kicked on and has never to my mind shown any evidence that he
was going to be a top quality premiership/ international level
scrumhalf 🤷‍♂️

Oh yeah he's had like two good games for us, just think this is
the weirdest time to say something like that

I guess that you play whoever takes you up on your offer. Maybe
we asked Munster and they declined.
The URC is continuing through the 6 nations and all the teams
played last week and play next week, so they were only ever
going to send a second XV.
And yes, it is a fixture to appease ST holders. It's to try to
give more value given the reduced size of the prem.

Connaught have 15 players absent from first team
Squad is predominantly the Youth and Under 20s so perhaps there
was an agreement between both sides
However you look at it, it’s hardly what you’d call a “ Value
for money” game if your a STH
