The exodus continues although I appreciate these were all muted
previously -we must have another centre in line to join -
besides Waghorn, who appears to have lept in front of Hyde and
Bradley, we still need a bit of experience at 12 .

Sad to see any quality player go. But realistically, we can't
keep them all. It's not as if we're Sarries.
Top quality players need game time. Squad rotation is all well
and good, but if you have two quality players in one position,
what happens if they both get callups, or one gets injured
whilst the other is away? And quality players command big
salaries. The reality is that many clubs will have a quality
first choice, and a reliable backup. In the case of this being
an academy product, they will be in line for more money and may
well be tempted away for that reason, or for more game time.
Shame to see Will go, but he's fairly surplus to requirements.
Same with Jibs, as much as he has huge potential. IF as is
reported, Irne is off, that's a shame as he's been very good for
us. His last run out wasn't so good though. And it looks like
       the replacement is pretty useful.

       Yes can't keep them all.
I was listening to the eggchasers "eggonomics" podcast the other
day. Mark Evans said we had the option to get Kruis but we
didn't think he was good enough & we didn't have the academy
       space. We took Treadwell instead.....

goes, but guess he takes up more room under the cap as he's no
       longer eqp

I don't think being EQP gave you more room under the cap? Lamb
would have helped with academy credits but he's now 26 so we
       don't get those either.
This is the first season that you have to have 15 or more EQPs
in the matchday squad though. I'm unclear how Dino would fare
under that scheme since he is, in theory, EQP but has chosen to
represent Italy. But he's got a British passport (I imagine).
This article seems to suggest not though....

Alongside the salary cap, trying to piece together a squad must
       be a nightmare in logistics.

We've got a bit of form for not recognising which locks are
going to make the best transition from academy level, given we
passed on both Launchbury and Kruis (and to be fair Treadwell
has not done too badly - it's just a shame he decided to go to
       Ireland to get his caps).
That said, Quins strategy has been to have top class front rows
but locks who are either just below or just past tier 1
international level, and we've done reasonably well at that.

Joseph is a fine player who deserves a clear shot at the
starting 13 shirt somewhere. After London Irish went bust I'm
glad things have worked out for him and considering he was a bit
part player for them (no surprise, given his age) I think he's
developed well here and can be proud of his performances. He has
serious talent and the next few years could be brilliant for
       him.

Whoa that's far too sensible. We can't have reasonable and
sensible opinions posted on this site or what will there be to
       disagree about? 🍻

We're well stocked at centre because we have one out and out 13,
       a centre/13, a winger who hasn't played centre, and a bunch of
kids and academy players who may or may not step up?
