Has he just been offered more money and a lot of his mates are
at Sale? He hasn’t played or been in any squads for ages and no
mention of being injured. It’s possibly that he’s been a naughty
boy but that would have been before he was linked with Sale.
Does he have an attitude problem. Has he appeared in any
training videos lately. So many questions need answers.

We won't get any answers - big shame he is leaving but we have
to move on - or maybe something special is happening at Sharks

Very annoying to lose a player of his potential and calibre but
tempered by the fact that for whatever reason he doesn't seem
happy at the club.

Historically, changing clubs is tougher for front rows than most
other positions - though it may be easier for hookers than
props. He's also probably lost a year of development - at the
start of the season he was pretty much nailed on to be in the
XXIII, but clearly things have broken down enough that we're not
giving him game time.

I think this is probably true, contrast this to when Hugh Tizard
left, similar trash talk about being wanted at Sarries but he
continued to play most games. Definitely sounds like Jibs has
said something seriously wrong to go so far down the pecking
order.

All I said on this topic is we would regret it.
Sadly, as much as I’d love to say he’s crap, I’d be lying. He
will go on and achieve more than our current crop
(realistically.)
