Alex Dombrandt will make his 150th Harlequins appearance against
Saracens in Saturday’s Premiership Rugby Cup clash at The Stoop
(15:05 – live on TNT Sports).
Harlequins’ talismanic skipper will return to the base of the
scrum as one of five changes to the starting side that ran out
32-10 victors against Ealing Trailfinders last weekend.
Danny Wilson has opted to make a further two changes in the pack
as Simon Kerrod comes into the front row at tighthead, and
Stephan Lewies returns to the engine room.
George Hammond shifts to blindside flanker for the London derby,
while Danny Care starts at scrum-half. Jarrod Evans, who joins
up with the Wales national team on Monday, is named in the
number 10 jersey and fellow Welshman Leigh Halfpenny lines up at
full-back for the visit of Saracens.
Jack Walker, Irne Herbst and Tyrone Green all return to the
wider matchday squad.

Strong team, with a decent amount of firepower on the bench. Be
interesting to see what Sarries put out. They won't qualify
unless Ealing blow it against Scottish, so, they'll be playing
mostly for spite and pride...

And Saracens…..
James Tirrell and Rob Webber have made four changes to the side
that overcame London Scottish in tough conditions. The coaching
duo have an exciting 13 academy graduates throughout the match
day 23 who will get another opportunity to impress.
There are no changes in the front row, as Eroni Mawi starts
alongside James Hadfield at hooker and Alec Clarey at tighthead.
Olamide Sodeke returns from U20 duty to partner Hugh Tizard in
the second row after the former Harlequin penned a new deal to
stay in North London this week.
A shift in the backrow sees Harry Wilson return from suspension
to feature at blindside flanker, moving Max Eke to the openside.
Captain Nathan Michelow will lead out his boyhood club from
number eight.
Gareth Simpson switches with Charlie Bracken to start in South
West London alongside Louie Johnson.
Angus Hall returns from England U20 duty to partner Josh Hallett
in the midfield. Brandon Jackson starts on the left wing, with
Tobias Elliott on the right wing and Alex Goode resuming at
full-back having made his return from injury last Friday at the
Richmond Athletic Ground.
On the bench, Sam Crean will cover hooker with Phil Brantingham
coming into the match day squad. Tiff Eden also returns to the
bench alongside Jack Bracken who returns from England U20
duties.
Michelow is hoping to finish this block of cup fixtures on a
high.
“I think the team has taken on a lot of lessons throughout the
Premiership Rugby Cup and I think we’ve grown well together
throughout the campaign. The whole squad are buzzing at the
opportunity to go to The Stoop and put in a performance we can
be proud of.”

I don't get how Porter and Kenningham are out of the game due to
England A, But Tizard is allowed to play?

Sorry if I've missed something but where is the suggestion that
they are? FWIW, we have Rodd, Asher and Carpenter in our 23 -
all of who are in an England squad.

What’s happened to Trenholm? I would have thought this would
have been an ideal game for him, but instead we’ve shoehorned
Hammond into the backrow

You’d hope we’d win that comfortably but who know which Quins
will turn up. And, for the record, I don’t think Poorfour is
spiteful in the slightest. Usually very reasonable and shares
lots of helpful information on the Ladies side of the club.
What an odd thing to post.
