The club hasn't said how the number breaks down, but it will
include those STHs who have booked tickets (although they are
free, you need to book them via the ticketing website, much like
with BG/BSKO) plus then any direct ticket sales. But it's
likely that in this case it's mostly direct sales, because the
audience that Ilona Maher attracts is predominantly not a
traditional rugby audience. (This winds up Ms Poorfour Maj no
end, because she feels that people should be women's rugby fans
first and not fans of a particular player)

The club marketing has been going fairly hard with the "6000
tickets sold" message, which suggests actual tickets sold,
rather than including season ticket numbers (otherwise, they
could surely do that for all the women's games?). Don't doubt
that the numbers may be massaged a little, but either way, am
expecting it to be a fair bit busier than usual.
Undoubtedly the Ilona factor in the numbers as well - my
daughter adores her and Ellie K equally and is the giddiest I've
seen her about a game. Just hope that some of those who come
because of her presence are the ones that will be running out at
the Stoop in years to come.
(also think Ilona would have looked good in quarters...maybe
next season [emoji6])

I just hope that the club opens enough bars to match the 6000
ticket sales.
Otherwise it could be a dry old affair.

WEll, if it was STH's, sorry, Members it would automatically
start at 10,000 tickets sold (or whatever our current STH's
are..)

No, you have to actually claim your ticket for the game. That's
where I got the "members free" bit from because if you're logged
in "Member" comes up as a seat purchase option along with Adult
etc. but with £0 price.
I'd forgotten that STs included women's games. Oh woe is me!
😁

Just driven past the Stoop and there’s quite a few TV trucks
outside.
