He did touch it, but that's also ignoring the fact that he'd
absolutely messed up that take in the first place. He also made
a mess of a few other high balls including not properly going
for one that he should have, made an extremely poor attempt at a
tackle on an Irish break, put in an absolutely awful clearing
kick that gave Ireland the position to score from, etc.
Sadly for someone who has epitomised all that's good about this
club in recent years, he genuinely had a shocker that only got
worse and worse until the assist near the end

On a related note, it's hilarious reading the various media
player ratings. One has Marcus as a 9, with the only blemish on
his game being the failure to stop one of the tries; others give
him a 5, as apparently he failed to get the attack moving.
Bizarre.

Not sure it's fair to bring politics into it.

We don't need Marcus to stop the Tories, they've achieved that
by themselves.

I guess it does speak to the moneyball nature of sport where
players often do a lot that we as laypeople don’t necessarily
see.
Caden is rewarded for:
Metres made, defenders beaten, try, assist, offload and tackles.
In contrast, Tony Bridge got points for:
Metres made, defenders beaten, assists, offload and tackles but
conceded a penalty.

Any thoughts MQ how Dino did in an Azzurri jersey losing to
Scotland? Great line-out work but part of a pack.bullied to
death by the Scots in the loose. Perhaps we should off load him
to Zebre!

I'd say it speaks to the weakness of using basic stats as the
sole judge of a player's impact, especially when they don't
count major errors that aren't strictly turnovers, or provide
any context on influence
That performance by Richard Hill for Saracens vs Ospreys in
Europe when he essentially ruled the rucks and completely took
their biggest weapon, Marty Holah, out of the game, would've
looked rubbish on match stats.

I must admit I f0und some of the decisions puzzling.
Ireland were better over the whole 80, but i thought England
were either trained too hard this week or are just not fit
enough....

Na he’s an overall solid operator. He’s defo in my view not a
starter in my view but a good squad player
