Last time Quins player getting first cap on wing at Dublin was
Dave Strettle. He scored a try in that game but England lost.

I had to post this just to see the meltdown.
Gavin Hastings has Slade at 12 in his starting XV for the first
Lions test. Mind you he also has Hassell-Collins at 11 🤪

Just get Cadan to cut in and take the ball off of Slade and
we'll get some go forward. Stick Slade on the wing when we
attack, the opposite one to where we're attacking 😁

Bit of a baptism of fire. A try, an assist but a couple of
defensive wobbles. I hope he doesn’t get panned too much. His
speed made a real difference at times.

He had numerous dodgy moments, two of which were bizarrely
awful. I love him but I wouldn't pick him again - life's tough
at the top. Lucky for him I don't pick the side.

Murley will be the next JSD.
His defensive cock ups will be the main memories left, and his
try aside wasn’t much to shout about.

Yeah, it's very likely he'll end his career with a 100% record
for tries and assists per match...
An absolutely bizarre meltdown in defence. The one where he ran
it from the very back of the in goal area wasn't quite as bad as
it looked, because he actually touched the ball when he made a
complete mess of catching it so couldn't put it down, but that
later one when he got carried back into play was just insane,
and he frequently messed up under the high ball, plus looked
very shaky when tackling a few times.
I don't think we've ever seen him have that kind of disaster,
he's never really been a "compound error" kind of player. It's a
real shame but if he gets selected again under Borthwick it'll
be a huge show of faith considering England's other options
Gutted.
