Every England International in any sport?
Really looking forward to ITV4's coverage of the U18 ice hockey
       team

I would have thought that the 6N would be a big enough event to
get free to air status or are viewing figures not showing this.
At the very least it could be available on ITV that may make
enough from ads to keep it profitable. I know lots of people who
watch the 6N just because it’s on. Many of them have then gone
on to watch or go to more rugby matches like our BG.

I do know what (I think) you mean but I guess my point is that
all fans think that their sport is important and should be shown
to as wide an audience as possible. TV companies will have an
idea of the demographics who engage with each sport and the
       profit-making ability of any event.
On the whole, rugby will (I guess) attract a fairly wealthy
audience but with a limited reach. Football (of any hue) will
       have much more mass appeal.
I seem to remember during the early days of covid that South
Korean (?) league football was streamed. In the absence of any
other live sport, there was an audience for it. I can't imagine
the same could have been said if it was South Korean rugby
(/cricket/enter your sport of choice here).

Putting the professional players in charge would not help, they
want money in their pocket today.
The amateur players, or mainly ex-players, used to be in charge,
and were branded 57 old buffers.
So we replaced them with a professional board.
They have done very well, you can tell as they have earned
       superb bonuses.

It does make a bit of a nonsense of all this talk of growing the
game, breaking America, getting fans via the women's game, only
to then go and turn your back on those who only watch rwc and
       6N.
Rugby is tiny and hardly anyone watches club rugby, but quite a
lot enjoy the 6N. For many though, probably not enough to pay
       for it

Perhaps Micky o'Rourke will save the day with an offer of half a
