I just hope the pitch is up to the job! It was truly awful last
Friday with the groundstaff coming on after every break in play
to fill in the pot holes and by the end Danny and Marcus were
hunting for anything remotely firm every time we had a kick.

Saw that, pitch LOOKED lovely but cut up badly in
places......Time for a 4G/5G pitch perhaps?

The pitch was in a bad state last Friday. If it cuts up again
tonight like it was, then maybe it is time to start looking at
4G/5G.

It's only done it the past couple of seasons -- basically since
the long-serving groundsman bloke left.

Isn't it a new pitch this season? Does that make it more or less
likely to cut up?
Randomly, I was chatting with a groundsman last night and he
mentioned that the weather we have had recently is pretty much
the worst case scenario.

Nervous about this. Was expecting a much worse Saints team given
the talk coming out of their camp (and the fans). It's not
exactly a C team!
