Thought we were a little fortunate to win that one but I'll
take it -Saints always looked more powerful in contact and I was
convinced we would just fall short -I know nothing😀

Found that game both enjoyable and frustrating at the same time!

Just home. A win is a win and keeps our season alive but it felt
really laboured at times.
Well played Lawday who made a real impact coming on.
Overall impression is that our pack struggled to impose
themselves. Fairly anonymous game from Evans by his standards,
not helped by breakdown officiating.
Hopefully results go our way this weekend and we're in the fight
for fourth post 6N.

It's funny, I know what you mean but the stats show we battered
them in contact. Breaking tackles for fun while barely missing
any and getting huge post contact metres. I guess that's the
difference between having a couple of players who look powerful
(Augustus, Ramm, Haffar) vs consistently getting over the gain
line and breaking tackles across the team. When Nick David is
bouncing people you know things are looking up...

If Chis’ injury is serious which I reckon it will be (as well
it’s Chis) I hope we see who’s around as a potential medical
joker. I hope Trenholm gets a go in the cup games, but I think
Chis/Lawday etc have shown how key it is to have someone who’s a
bit older and gnarly who can just do a job and lead by example
almost (despite not being captain)

I thought Lawday stepped up to the plate very well .

Hats off to Quins ! It was an ugly win, but a much needed
5-pointer. I agree with most of the postings here - the big
downer is Chis jnr's potential injury... he has been a standout
for a while.
Tyrone had a massive match !
Waghorn looks the real deal... as mentioned earlier - it would
be an interesting combo with him at 12 and Luke at 13.
Well played Cleaves - nice to see him back.
One thing that was bizarre - Launchbury was subbed, but Lewies
seemed insistent that he should be subbed instead of Joe. After
that, Lewies spent a huge amount of time on the right wing - I
wonder if he had "gone in the fetlocks" again.

From listening on RefLink, the Joe/Stephan sub "incident" was
just confusion between the players, the sidelines, and the ref
as to who was coming off.

I think Lewies was knackered! He's not had much game time for a
while and that was a very tiring match.
People keep talking about Waghorn/Luke; I'd also like to see
Waghorn/Beard. With Cadan and Cleaves on the wings, and Tyrone
at 15, that's a very exciting lineup. Also very oung, so if you
add in Marcus that's a backline that could be together for a
very long time.

Agreed Quinky..... we also have Hyde, Bradley, Zheng, not to
mention Nick David and Rodrigo Isgro (and a very young Lucas
Friday coming through) ! With Tyrone eligible for England from
June, I really hope that we can retain all these young backs.
The oldest are Rodrigo (25) and Nick David (26). The future in
our back division looks VERY bright !
