Already thinking about team vs Saints
DIR By: boroughquin

With the Internationals away + injuries it's hard to predict.
Joseph played for Scottish at the weekend. Could he come in for
Beard?
Will Isgro be fit? Saw him walking around the pitch at FT on
Saturday.
Would be an opportune time for Cleaves to come back from injury.
If Irne can be fit then numbers are up again at lock.
Otherwise don't think we're in too bad shape in truth.
Sorry I know it's only Monday....

My prediction:
15: Green
14: Isgro (if fit otherwise Halfpenny 15 & Green 14)
13: Joseph
12: Waghorn
11: David
10: JEvans
9: Care
8: Lawday
7: WEvans
6: Kennigham
5: Lewies
4: Chisholm
3: Kerrod (think Tito is injured post Glasgow)
2: Walker
1: Jones
16: Riley
17: Els
18: Lewis
19: Launchbury
20: Hammond
21: Trenholm
22: Porter
23: Benson

Beard will be away with England, won't he? Otherwise that looks
about right, barring injury.

I'd say:
1 Jones
2 Walker
3 Kerrod
4 Hammond
5 Lewies
6 Kenningham
7 W.Evans
8 Chisholm
9 Porter
10 J. Evans
11 David
12 Waghorn
13 Joseph
14 Isgro (Green 14/Halfpenny 15)
15 Green
16 Riley
17 Els
18 Lewis
19 Launchbury
20 Lawday
21 Care
22 Benson
23 Anyanwu
Think there's enough versatility and power in the pack for a 5/3
split and feel it could be a game where we may need to mix it up
in the backs given it's slightly makeshift.

Dino Lamb is in the Italy squad so can’t be too far off coming
back.
Would certainly be helpful to have at least one of him and
Herbst.
Will Joseph has been a huge disappointment so far - but I don’t
see us having too many other options at 13 next weekend.
Finally how far off the squad is Will Hobson? The guy is
absolutely massive!

Meant Nick David - blame sleep exhaustion of two toddlers!

We could be bold and look at one of Bradley/Hyde for 13 if
Joseph is still struggling???
Cleaves back would be good. Roddy looked on good form on
Saturday laughing and smiling

I'd play Joseph. He's had a lack of opportunities as his arrival
coincided with Beard's emergence. He is a talented player, he's
just behind Northmore and Beard in the pecking order. He also
has pace which you need when defending in the 13 channel and
given how Saints stretch teams his inclusion would make sense to
me.
Be interesting to see our backrow selection. At FG's we went
with the triple jackle threat of Wev, Kenners and Dommers. We
bossed the first half and should've been out of sight. Second
half they worked it out and blasted us off the ball at ruck
time.

Yeah, that’s pretty close to what I would expect. Although, it
seems no-one’s noticed that Northmore isn’t in the England group
so should be available.
Saints will be missing Coles, Mitchell, Smith, Sleightholme,
Freeman and Dingwall to England. Same amount us as, but arguably
more disruptive given it’s essentially most of their starting
backs.

Northmore was quite badly injured in Toulon wasn't he? Rumoured
on crutches. But would be a real boost for us.
Is Furbank injured still for them? Hopefully Hutchinson will be
with Scotland
