Lineout was always going to be a struggle once Lewies went off
for Launchbury. Having no lineout options in the second row
makes life hard with Kenners off.
Our best performance since Saracens and a really big win. The
attack has really come alive in the last couple of weeks and our
defence is still miles better than last season, we scramble
extremely well and sweep up brilliantly. Hats off lawfully to
Baxter, CCS, Chis, Murley, and Marcus. Waghorn wasn't that
involved but did little wrong and did not look out of place,
       either.
Don't mind admitting I thought we'd lose this one fairly
       handily!

Decent game. When we are making metres in heavy traffic then I
feel much better about our chances. We did today and Glasgow
managed to make more errors than us. Glad I decided to attend!

We played well in the first half, particularly the first 20mins,
and should really have been further ahead. Moved the ball well
and shades of the last few seasons.
Second half was less fluid. Warriors showed more purpose and the
game broke - very stop start with scrums and injury breaks.
Thought we got a bit more go-forward with CCS, Chis and Dommers
all on the pitch. CCS MOTM was probably right.
A rare off day for Porter with the boot.
A definite improvement in performance and hopefully this kick
starts a bit of a run.

The decoy runner has to be inside the receiver when the pass is
made. As it happened, Waghorn was a fraction inside the decoy
runner when he received the ball.
When the receiver is clearly outside the decoy runner, it
effectively means the defender has a choice of attackers to go
for and has picked the wrong one.
It was marginal but was the right call to disallow the try.

Congratulations Quins. No doubt at all that the better team won
       that game.
From our point of view, some serious, serious questions for
Glasgow after that performance - never at the races, no energy,
no accuracy, just utterly dreadful... some of that of course
will be down to Quins' display, but there was something
seriously amiss out there... and we've now put in our 2 worst
performances of the Franco Smith era in the last 3 weeks.
Concerning for Glasgow (and for Scotland with the 6N just around
       the corner).
From my quick calculations I don't think it's likely we'll meet
you again in this competition this year (we went through a phase
of always being in Saracens' group and then also getting them in
the QFs... and it looks like with tomorrow's games still to play
we might be welcoming them to Scotstoun), so I'll wish you all
the very best. Thoroughly enjoyed my second trip to the Stoop -
it's a great set up you have there.

Glad you made it down. The Glasgow travelling contingent made
some decent noise and I hope the event was worth it, despite the
       result.
I think you are being a little harsher on yourself than is
warranted. While Quins looked the stronger in the first half,
Glasgow upped their game significantly in the 2nd which made it
quite an arm wrestle - a combination of decent last ditch
defending by Quins and too many handling errors by Glasgow kept
the score low. Your lineout went particularly badly - long term
Quins fans will be very familiar with this - and that cost you
several points scoring opportunities - much to my relief.
Hope to see you down here again.
P.S. I went to the pre-season friendly in Perth in 2018 which
was a good day out. The result isn't everything!

Ha, thanks for your kind words... but we were honking!
Comparisons on the Glasgow board being made to the Glasgow that
turned out under Danny Wilson! :D
Re. Lineout, some suggestion that we were taking one for the
team in terms of testing refs' tolerance under the new law
variations - there is nothing in there which explicitly says you
can't throw squint to the front, so long as the opposition don't
       lift...

Really enjoyed the contest last night and the atmosphere with
both sets of supporters on form. Anyone worked out who we might
       face in the next round?
