the first three choices nor was in the A 23 v Australia. Langdon
and Ohgre are both fit atm so I can imagine them playing v
Ireland A. Jibs was in the wider squad for the A game v Oz but I
can't see that he's going to get in again unless he plays soon.

So Walker's England career seems over, at least for the time
being?

The next hooker at Quins to get an England cap will be the one
who’s leaving us for Sale

I hope you're wrong and he isn't leaving us. I honestly can't
see why he would? He's no more likely to get loads of games time
there than he is at Quins and I'm sure that they can't have any
more salary cap cash than we do. They don't have a "cheap"
squad, it isn't like Sale of 10/20 years ago....

Sale of 20 years ago was around the Prem-winning team that had 7
of that year’s Lions squad.
Sale of 10 years ago scraped into the Heineken Cup.
They’re very different squads.
FWIW, I think Taylor is possibly done. We’ve currently got
injury cover in for him as our only other options are LCD or a
fairly unproven 23-year old.
There is also a question about LCD’s future after this season.

Form wise LCD is probably deserving of a start with Dan a decent
option off the bench. I’m glad SB removed George as captain, as
the last year or 2 he seemingly was only there because he was
captain rather than on playing form

LCD's form isn't really in the same class as Oghre and Langdon,
I think.

Didn't Langdon have a bit of a mare with the lineout against
Stade? I think he threw two away for dummying the throw.

Entirely possible, but he has been excellent for them this
season and last.
LCD isn't exactly a banker at lineout time...

So looking at who's in the squad and only picking players
available as I type. Not what I would do but what I think
Borethick will do in such a big first game:-
Genge
George
Stuart
Itoje
Martin
Chessum (CCS has been great for England but only there as
Chessum was injured)
T Curry
Earl
Mitchell
M Smith
Freeman
Slade
Lawrence
Sleighthome
Daly
Subs
Baxter
LCD
Cole
Hill
CCS
Willis
JVP
Steward

That 'dumb' was a finger mash - sorry.
However I can't see Steward on the bench, especially with a 6-2
split.
