Nice to see Cadan & Oscar called up, but I doubt they'll get
into the 23 unless it's against Italy, given Borthwick is
conservative in making changes. I wasn't aware that Luke was
injured...

Given England's shortage of fit wingers, Murley stands a decent
chance of a cap, especially as the new kick chase rules have
somewhat changed what's needed for high ball skills.
Odd mix of flankers in there - lots of 6s but only B Curry is an
outright 7. I assume the default back 5 will be Itoje / Martin /
Chessum / Curry / Earl but maybe we'll see some changes.
Shame for Kenningham that he didn't get a look in. Given that
he's leading the league in turnovers, his carry stats are
similar to B Curry's, his tackle completion is good and he's a
primary lineout option, it's not clear what more he has to do.

Surprised but pleased for Dommers. Just a shame that he wants a
6, 6 & 7 in the back row and not a proper 8.
Daly in as a full back option, I'd expect

Centres and overall back 3 options are poor, and Alex can be
deemed lucky to have made it in my view.
I feel we will have
11. Freeman
12. Slade (we still haven’t learnt it seems he’s poor at
international level)
13. Lawrence
14 Sleightholme
15 Steward
Hendy and Carpenter I feel would have been better to give a go.
I imagine we will have a 6-2 split for the bench so can see Daly
there for his jack of all trades, just not international
standard in one position appearance.
Personally from that list id go
11. Murley
12. Lawrence
13. Freeman
14. Sleightholme
15. Steward (sigh)

Spencer can feel hard done by. He should be in ahead of JVP, who
seems to be a Borthwick pet favourite.

Totally agree , cannot see JVP as even the best club 9 and
shouldn’t be anywhere near an England team

Borthwick has his favourites.
Sadly for Spencer, he hasn’t really sat the world alight when
given the chance. It’s a strange one as for his club he looks an
elite player, but then at international level looks like a club
player. I think a few of Dombrandts international critics would
probably say the same about him if we are being fair.
JVP dosent really offer much, and in my view isn’t amazing at
any one particular thing to warrant him being there to almost
balance it out. I think Quirke will probably get his chance for
the Argentina tour hopefully
