Could Cadan get a call up? I thought it was a slim chance given
the choice available to Borthwick, but given the current injury
list, I'd say the odds have shortened:
Feyi-Waboso - Reported this morning he's going in for a shoulder
op & will miss 10-12 weeks
Furbank - Broken arm, not sure he'll be back in time
Sleightholme - Withdrew from Northampton's last game before
kickoff (not clear why)
George Hendy - Went off before halftime in the same game
(shoulder)

For IFW, what they're reporting is slightly different from what
the headlines are saying - "he has a slot for an operation
booked", and it will be up to the player.
The injury sounds like a subluxation (where the shoulder
dislocates but then pops back in of its own accord), and those
have a higher chance of recovering well without an operation. My
guess is that they are at the "wait and see" stage, and if it
seems to be recovering properly they may just opt for rehab and
physio over surgery. I did the same thing 20 years ago, and took
the same approach with no long term issues and a full range of
movement. Rugby players are a bit different, though.
Still, Cadan has earned a shot and I think has shown that under
the new kicking laws his timing and pace offset his lack of
height.

I can see Freeman persisted with on the wing (god knows why) and
Roebuck, with slow as night Steward at FB
I think Wyatt at Exeter is in good form. But let’s be honest; we
will see Daly somehow shoehorned in and have Daly, Freeman and
Steward which will offer as much threat as a grasshopper

Can see a scenario where the Saints boys are given extra time to
recover and therefore all play against us and meanwhile we're
missing the likes of Murley and Northmore who will be
benchwarming at best.

I love Northmore at 13 but always felt that with England he's
there to enable the stodgy midfield to work on how to defend
against a player that they don't come up against very often.
Shame really.
Anyway, back on topic, Murley has more than earned his place in
the squad but Captain Myopic can't see beyond his pre-conceived
prejudices re height. It's a shame re Steward, I was really
hoping that having Brownie there would help him improve his
defence but sadly no, as Murley proved when he put him on his
a**e from 20 metres away at Big Game

I've also suffered a sublux. It's affected my shoulder range of
movement, but I no longer play so maybe that's just old age.
Another player who suffered a sublux was one Jack Clifford...

Best no to mention his apparent love of grasping at the air left
behind by South African players...

Yes, and what a loss to Quins and England that was. Didn't he
suffer it as a teenager and had recurrent problems thereafter?

I only recall that his last (?) shoulder injury was said to be a
sublux after the initial thought that it was a dislocation. But
yes, a huge loss.

I remember COS saying in his first senior season "If he stays
fit, he'll play for England. If he stays fit, he'll captain
England." With a clear implication that they were already
managing his health.
