       Falcons Pitch

At what point is that pitch acceptable for premiership matches?
Was either very wet or icy in places(hard to tell) bounce was
like a ping pong table , and Bampot Bill Sweeney has the cheek
to say every (bar one) championship ground isn’t suitable

It's an 3G artificial pitch. Does the weather affect it that
much? (only asking, I have no idea!). It makes sense for
Newcastle to have one, for sure.
And I think Sweeney's (of course they're not his personally)
objections are for a variety of issues. I always thought the
main sticking point was crowd size.

Make a note Darling: teams to control the weather, plus heavy
       machine guns for full backs.

Outrageous a pitch getting wet in winter

       I heard ont'elly that it were a 4g pitch.
No. I have absolutely no idea what difference that 1g makes.

       Faster connection.
Are we sure it's not a 2G pitch?

Interestingly, on Look East they were talking to one of the
firms that rents tents to go over playing pitches.
He was putting one up at Cambridge United.
The Cambridge United groundsmen said it cost £2,000 to rent and
       heat the tent.
But, that was less than the cost of the food they would have had
to throw away - so it was a worthwhile investment.
To be fair to Falcons, it was freezing during the game.
So even if they had covered it before the match, any dew would
       have frozen during play.
