typical for Lagi?

I suspect she’s carrying a knock - her kicking has been below
her usual standards for a couple of games, though she’s still
hugely influential in running the game.

She seems to be playing at #10 , but she doesn't have 10 on her
shirt

I wondered about that too.

Lagi has definitely been a class act and her kicking out of hand
was good yesterday. Just off the tee she’s gone wayward. Hard
to think that’s an injury. Maybe some yips?

One of the biggest differences between the men’s game and the
women’s game is that you don’t really have crash ball centres;
most 12s are more 2nd 5/8ths, and often interchangeable with the
10s. For instance the Black Ferns have moved longtime 10 Ruahei
Demant to 12 to accommodate (and mentor) the emerging Hannah
King.

Regarding a "crash-ball exponent at 12"..... wouldn't Jade
Konkel be an interesting experiment at 12 (instead of her usual
No.8 position) ? She has the power and the speed to put the fear
of God into most slightly built opposition FH's ! Almost like a
women's equivalent of an Andre !

Thought something similar about Whyte before she did her
shoulder in SQ. Once she is in beast mode, little stopping her.

It’s Wythe rather than Whyte (though knowing some of the players
in the pipeline there’s a possibility of having a Wythe and a
Whyte on the team sheet in a couple of years’ time to confuse
the commentators), but moving from 3 to 6 has been
transformative for her.
I’m not sure either Konkel or Wythe have the distribution or
kicking skills to play 12, and Tuima does such a good job of
bringing players into the game that it’s hard to see Quins
replacing her as long as she stays fit (and especially with Pena
having a real impact at 13).
