I’ve got no interest in the women’s match to be honest but I
don’t see the point in posting slagging it off. Just ignore it
if you don’t like it, leave it to the people who enjoyed it

So, he sat there, watching a game he has such dislike for, then
complains how bad it was, if only there was a way to stop
watching it, contact TNT asap

Agree. The women's game in England is moving on apace. The PWR
is very competitive now, except for Tigers & Sale at the moment,
but I am sure they will catch up.
Yesterday was a joy to watch. Yes, there were errors & Quins did
switch off at times. But women's games are much less cynical at
the breakdown, more off-loading and running. Quins were led by
the immense Jade Konkel, Hayleigh was great at fly-half, Lucy
Packer had a great game too. Lagi was a very effective runner
and distributor in the centre; yes, she had a bad day with the
boot, but made up for it in other areas. Ellie Kidunne - what
can you say ! No wonder she is World Player of the Year. In
attack and defence she is "stardust" AND has the pace to "smoke"
many male Premiership centres I could think of.
I am an enthusiastic advocate of the women's game - going to all
home fixtures. This season, 8 wins on the trot and, as I write,
top of the table. Ross Chisholm is doing a great job.
Yes - Quins (& other teams) are doing a great job of inspiring &
motivating the girls and women players of the future.

Thanks for your post, Elbombero, and like Mayor West and you we
have been through the “anything but pass to a girl phase” with
both our daughters. Please do encourage your daughter to stick
with it, because it does get better.
In Ms Poorfour Maj’s case, it was literally on her last tour in
mixed rugby that the penny dropped for the boys on the team.
They were all small, fast, skinny whippets, and she was a large,
fast cannonball of a player, and they finally realised that if
they passed to her she would take so many defenders to stop her
that whoever got the ball next would have an easy run in.
5 years later, she’s in an elite rugby programme and part of the
RFU’s Player Development Group. The years consoling her on the
touchline because she never got the ball were a small price to
pay.

Totally understand the frustrations of you little lass, and you
as Dad. The issue isn't with the boys, it's with the minis'
coaches. I've witnessed this regularly across my time with Girls
and Womens rugby development.

Coaches can sometimes be part of the problem, but even at clubs
that are very supportive of girl players and with coaches who
want the girls involved, most boys at that age will do anything
rather than pass to a girl. I have stood on the touchline as a
coach calling for them to give the ball to Ms Poorfour Maj on a
5m penalty, because it would have been a near guaranteed try if
she got it… and still they wouldn’t. One of her other coaches
even used to play a drill called “everybody else on the team try
to stop her from scoring” and they still didn’t get it.

There's something weird about someone who doesn't like/follow a
sport but permanently harks on about it. I don't like F1 or
darts or ice hockey, but I don't feel the need to come on here
time after time and tell you all about it. I don't believe
women's football is as skillful as the men's, but I don't wait
until there's a womens football match and use it as an excuse to
state (for the umpteenth time) that I don't rate womens football
as a game.

Agreed DOK. It’s almost like he has a specific problem with
women and thinks this is a normal way to express it. And there
are others on this board that also think that’s reasonable
behaviour. Bizarre but hope the women in their lives have
spotted the signs.

Agreed. Football bores the hell out me personally.... I wouldn't
go & watch a Premiership soccer match even if gifted a season
ticket.
I don't go on about this fact (& certainly haven't mentioned
this fact on this forum, or anywhere else for that matter !).
BUT, I do like women's rugby. Everyone is entitled to their
opinion, but certain poster(s) are getting on my nerves and
those of other forum contributors.
Yes... everyone can have their say, but bigoted slagging off of
a still evolving, developing sport doesn't advance anything at
all !

I would encourage everyone to watch 'no woman no try' if you get
the chance.
It talks about how trolls posted on social media when the
women's 6 nations was cancelled during COVID.
Some of the comments were just uncalled for.
