I may be wrong, but on the mobile version of the forum I thought
the button to the right of a thread heading took me to the last
unread post. Anyway, it doesn't do that now, it just opens the
thread at the start.
Is anyone else having the same issue? If so, can an admin help
or advise please?

It's been happening to me too, for about a week or so.
DOK, in technical terms, that could be passed onto the forum
administrators, the link is malformed. The anchor part of the
link is duplicated. E.g. #new#new

Yes I noticed it too.
Also the "mark all read" option has vanished from the menu in
the mobile site.

Me too. Also, I can't use the Rating icons in the mobile view.
Mind you I had enough difficulty mashing the correct one when
they did work!

Same here with the rating icons, both problems button bashing
the wrong one and now them not working hehe!

What type of phone are using Rodney?

Ah, I use the desktop version on my phone. Can't get on with the
mobile version. as you were.
