I seem to remember ours being the best either last season or the
one before.

When we played r92, we kept on going for the corner and then
trying a catch and drive with no success.
Against Stormers, we mixed it up a bit and scored a few.
Last night we went back to the r92 plan.
Our lineout is not consistent enough to rely on catch and
drives.
So, why did we go back to it last night?

Because the backs kept dropping it or getting immediately turned
over

And we were getting dominated in the scrum

Unfathomable to put in such a pathetic performance last night.
Appalling basics like that is inexcusable regardless of any
other guff about reasons for defeat.
Looks like another thread going down the tubes due to egoism
rather than sensible discussion.

Sure Jammy, I get that, but, not during the first 10 minutes or
so if the game.
We were doing a lot right, but then getting white line fever.
At that point in the game, our scrum was steady, but our maul
was ineffective.
I also think that if we were 14 points up after 15 minutes (as,
I think we could have been), then we would probably would have
left with a TBP win.

Ugo pointed out that the Glaws forwards seemed more energised.
To play the way you'd like to see Quins play, they've got to be
playing with confidence. And that was missing last night. Never
mind our stats in the red zone. I'm starting to worry about our
stats getting into the 20m area. We seemed to come up with
endless variations on how to lose possession. Our defence was
basically OK last night. Yes, Christian Wade's ego saved us from
a third try, but overall once we were 14 points down we got down
to it. But our attack was woeful, as told by the fact of being
nilled for the first time in 10 years. Something needs to
change. I appreciate the coaches aren't throwing the forward
passes, but they should be setting the tone, building up the
psychology, making the players feel ready for the off and raring
to go. That team last night looked raring to go...back to
London.

He looks lost to me. Needs a run or not, can't just play him in
the odd game.

Yes. A lot of talented players with no idea what to do, 15
individuals. All the hallmarks of a dreadful head coach. Sure
there will be some people who don't understand professional
sport who will say 'Wilson didn't drop the ball', but it's
extremely clear that he needs to go.

Where were we in the table when Gustard left?
