You forgot the bit about Northmore being so bad that we always

Do you enjoy rugby MQ?
Not a dig but there was lots to just plain enjoy about the game
last night. It will be frustrating if we don’t back it up,
granted but you’ve said more about next week than the actual
game that just happened.

I have to say that George Hammond is looking more like a 1st
lock than ever. He was a unit last night with great offloading
skills. Great to see.

There is no "real test". The aim is to try and beat everyone we
play. Immediately ignoring a huge win because of depleted
opposition despite some of the sheer excellence on display just
shows how sad things have become.
Perhaps the real test would be for you to just watch a game
without your ego riding on your pre match opinions. Just take
the rough with the smooth and enjoy sport for what it is. It's a
lot more fun that way, I promise.

Yeah of course. We did play some good patterns in the second
half but the reason I’m apprehensive to think we’ve turned a
corner a
Is season after season we put in a performance where it all came
off only to have it followed up by a shocker. It’s also mindful
considering how depleted the Stormers were and a long was from
home, before getting carried away. If we beat Gloucester and
then Tigers it will show finally some consistency, but we rarely
do that, which is why I’m not quick to wax lyrical. My critics
often do ignore when I post good comments as that dosent fit the
narrative, of course.

I rarely post on here these days but literally nothing has
changed. It’s sad and bizarre at the same time.
Happy with the win. You can only play what’s in front of you and
it might prove to be the kind of run out we needed to restore a
bit of confidence.

I dunno about anyone else, but if I had predicted yet another
frustrating performance that would have us saying the same old
things and then been dooming on the thread after ten minutes, I
don't think my only other contribution would have been to make
up some nonsense criticism of the kicking game. A distinct lack
of positive comments, in fact, especially compared to the deluge
of gleeful negativity whenever anything doesn't go our way in
other match threads.
Still, I'm sure it's very healthy to immediately be claiming
this changes nothing and to start talking about matches yet to
be played rather than enjoying and discussing the spectacular
win, especially if it was apparently such a huge surprise.

Not really.
Gloucester is THE key game to prove we can be consistent and not
a flash in a pan against a side who lost the bulk of their
starters, and then it will be about carrying momentum forward.
I’m sure if we do revert to a leaky defence it will be the refs
fault for not spotting something anyway
