Harlequins have named their Investec Champions Cup matchday
squad for round two of the pool stages against DHL Stormers on
Saturday (20:00, live on Premier Sports).
The Quarters return to The Stoop to take on Southern Hemisphere
opposition under the lights in South-West London.
Danny Wilson has opted to make eight changes to the starting XV
that travelled to Paris, as well as opting for a six-two split
amongst the impact players.
Fin Baxter returns at loosehead following a week of mandatory
rest, while Jack Walker and Simon Kerrod retain their places in
the front row.
Quins make a double change in the engine room as Irne Herbst
packs down alongside George Hammond.
James Chisholm comes into the starting lineup at openside as the
only back row change. Chandler Cunningham-South and Alex
Dombrandt remain at blindside flanker and number eight
respectively.
The hosts make one change in the half-backs as Danny Care comes
into the side to partner Marcus Smith, following the recent
announcement of the fly-half committing his future to the Club.
Oscar Beard jumps up into the starting XV at outside centre to
partner Luke Northmore, who shifts inwards to wear the number 12
jersey.
Quins make two changes in the back three as the electric pair of
Tyrone Green and Rodrigo Isgro return to the starting lineup,
alongside Cadan Murley who switches wings.
As mentioned, Head Coach Danny Wilson has opted for a 6-2 split
with his impact players as Sam Riley, Wyn Jones. Dillon Lewis,
Harry Browne, Jack Kenningham and Will Evans are all set to be
introduced on Saturday night.
If introduced, Browne will earn his first European appearance in
the Quarters. Will Porter and Jarrod Evans complete the matchday
squad.

Good squad, though still unconvinced at Northmore in the 12
shirt. Good to have Green, Baxter and Isgro back, and there's
some potential on the bench.

Admittedly I’m less au fait with all the Quins players but that
looks like a big pack

It's definitely on the beefier side. Hammond is more of an
athletic lock than a bruiser, but other than that it is as
chunky a pack as we can field

Finally we might see Northmore have a good game at 12…

Same old errors 10 minutes in. We just have to accept we are a
poor side right now.

Responded well after a poor start but our kicking game remains
to be seen. Marcus and the backs have been a bit disjointed, and
this is a poor Stormers side in general

Like that huge 50-22 and the repeated box kicks we've gained
possession from?

It’s still been overall more wasteful than not.

It's been wasteful because the error count has been too high,
absolutely nothing to do with anything about the kicking game.
CCS in particular has been guilty of losing the ball in contact
far too much.
Bonus point try.
