There was an interesting comment made by Murley after the game
that the forwards had done a really good job which allowed the
backs to defend the wide channels better. I wonder if that is
something specific that Gilmour has tweaked since Brizz.

Championes observation reminds me of an oft-quoted criticism of
England for years- that they are over-coached.
Could the same be happening at Quins? The stats and analysis in
this thread are compelling but when we were at our best a few
seasons ago - nobody ever looked the stats. We only seem to
visit stats when things are going poorly, when things are going
well we just got on with it.
That said, and at risk of misquoting him, Paul O'Connor said
something like "we just coach our team to be the best at
everything that doesn't require talent".
I think we've got buckets of talent, but the stats suggest that
we're not very good at the basics.
