I'm with you, Noah_Jo, I think that's what he's going to focus
on as well. I wonder if with Marler, Collier last season,
possibly DC & Launch this season whether it's about keeping some
grey hair around to help the transition to the younger players
taking on the mantel

Surprised, as I thought he'd most likely retire. He's had a lot
of injuries - 76 games in 6 seasons isn't a great return on the
club's investment. But... when fit and firing, he's a solid
operator.
I do hope we keep Irne though - he's a bit of an unsung hero.

Agree with most of the above.
He's been great this season now that he's been fit and firing on
all cylinders.
Good to have him around for his experience and leadership too.

Can't say this gets me particularly excited. He's been injury
prone and I rarely remember a performance of real note - solid
but hardly spectacular. Granted the engine room boys don't often
steal the show but compared to some of his countrymen, I feel
that we could have looked elsewhere.
I suspect the problem is that there is a dearth of 6'6" plus
130kg second-rows just out there waiting to be picked up. They
are in short supply.
