Yet another game we didn’t look prepared for, is it the coaches
or players at fault. We have a really good mix in the squad and
not sure the coaching is sinking in so not sure where the
problem is. We seem to be able to score from anywhere but are
leaking tries everywhere. Groundhog Day I guess

Bristol’s last 2 visits to The Stoop they’ve scored 51 and 48
points. That is simply unacceptable.

Close at half time because of a couple of times extraordinary
interventions for interception and turnovers to score made it
look closer then it really was. 2nd half not really any
positives for Quins looked low on energy and never really up to
pace.

Well that was an education in how to play fast, powerful
offloading rugby.
Looking forward to hearing from our newish defence coach and
maybe Nick Evans should be taking notes from Bristol's attacking
coach 🤔

Bristol were excellent today. Kept the ball moving and our
backrow which is stacked with jacklers didn't get a sniff.
Whilst you have to credit Bristol, it was frustrating not see a
shift in tactics from us after the first 30mins or so. It was
clear our defence wasn't containing them, and we should've
looked to keep ball in hand far earlier rather than persisting
with kicking and giving it back to them. We invited them on to
us and got punished.
Thought we missed a bit of muscle today too. In comparison, Mata
made ground everytime he carried.

Very similar to end of last season that. Blown away eventually
by a team that play our so called ‘way’ better than we can. I
thought Gilmour had solved everything - that showed no
improvements at all.

...except that with a penalty in front of the posts to end the
game, the Jordies instead kicked the ball to touch and gifted
Sarries a bonus point.

Bristol look a top side this season. Might be their year to win
it
We were awful but sometimes have to concede the other team is
just better than us
Game like this is where fact we miss Andre is so obvious, we
looked lightweight
