Stephan Lewies returns to the engine room to skipper Harlequins
against Saracens in the Premiership Rugby Cup on Saturday
(15:00).
Harlequins travel to North-West London on Saturday afternoon
with the ambition of going three-from-three to start their
Premiership Rugby Cup campaign, and build valuable momentum
ahead of the return of the Gallagher Premiership.
Danny Wilson has named an experienced group for the London
Derby, with the inclusion of a number of young stars who’ve
impressed in the first two rounds of the competition.
After agreeing fresh terms to remain at The Stoop, Tyrone Green
has been named to start at full-back. Cameron Anderson and Nick
David retain their places on either wing.
Youngster Sean Kerr earns his first senior start in this year’s
competition - seven days after completing a week-long training
camp with England ‘A’. Kerr is partnered with Lennox Anyanwu in
the centres.
Meanwhile, Quins’ favoured Prem Rugby Cup half-back pairing of
Lucas Friday and Jamie Benson will once again start at the
StoneX Stadium.
Across the front row, Jordan Els and Dillon Lewis pack down at
loose and tighthead prop, with Jack Walker named to start at
hooker.
Stephan Lewies captains the squad from the second row, alongside
fellow countryman Irne Herbst.
A dynamic back row trio of Jack Kenningham, Tom Lawday and James
Chisholm completes the starting XV to take on Saracens.
Wyn Jones, Nathan Jibulu and Simon Kerrod have been named as
impact players, alongside fellow forwards Joe Launchbury and
Lucas Schmid.
Lewis Gjaltema returns to the matchday squad for the Cup clash
as Will Joseph and Bryn Bradley round off the matchday squad.

That's a good balance of experience and emerging talent. I hope
it's enough to give Sarries a good game. Quins have probably
done enough in the first two games to qualify from the group -
but assuming that Ealing will take 4 points at Scottish, they
need at least a bonus point from this one to be sure.

I'm pretty much out of touch with premiership players outside
Quins and the England squads but that looks a fairly weak
Sarries side. Or is it just my ill-informed perspective?

Typical Sarries, cheating again trying to sneak an extra player
onto the bench. ;-)
It's similar to Quins - a mix of experience and emerging. Great
to see Hartley back after his horrible injury last year, and
some interesting match ups - Parton vs Green, Bracken vs Friday

What's the rules with duel registered players? Trenholm's back
at Scottish for the weekend having already played in the cup for
Quins.
If Quins go on to win the competition, Trenholm could, in
theory, be back in the Quins team for the final.

Forgive me if this has been asked and answered previously, but
is the match televised or available online anywhere? I have
googled but can't find it.

Saw Bracken play last season. He was a standout in a very strong
Ealing team that day. But I think Friday will be the better
player in the long term.

I think it’s only one match per round that’s on tv. This round
it was Glaws v Exeter last night
