Cadan Murley and Tom Curry have been called up to England’s
36-player squad ahead of Sunday’s clash against Japan.

Tom Curry? Wasn't he in the squad anyway?

Surely Slade needs these England run outs to get back up to full
       fitness for Exeter?

Is that when a team wins by 3 points? Or when a team gets 5
points (win + try bonus) but the losing side gets two bonus
points, net 3 points for the winning team?

England: Furbank; Freeman, Lawrence, Slade, Sleightholme; M
Smith, Van Poortvliet; Genge, George (capt), Stuart, Itoje,
       Martin, T Curry, Underhill, Earl.
       Replacements: Cowan-Dickie, Baxter, Opoku-Fordjour, Isiekwe,
       Cunningham-South, Randall, F Smith, Roebuck.
So, a good opportunity to cap some of the wider squad and get
them some experience in what should be a solid win for any
English side but no, I'll keep the same ones in who've struggled
to go 80 minutes for the last 3 weeks 'cos if you keep throwing
them over the top, they'll eventually get through. Pointless, if
they win, it papers over the cracks because Japan aren't ready
yet and if, by some horrid twist of fate, they lose, you've now
crushed the souls of your starting XV.
Think I'll clear the shed out and listen on the radio

I was hoping for at least a sort of 1.5 team if not a full
second string. Can't see the sense in sending Curry out there
for 80 mins after his nasty head knock a couple of weeks ago.

That's got to be one of the least balanced back rows England
have put out for a long time - against any decent lineout, we'd
be toast. Not sure what we'll learn from playing three
experienced opensides at once against tier 2 opposition (I class
Earl as such because as much as he had a great few months in an
England shirt, he's now proving he's not an international 8
       imo). Smacks of desperation.

Don’t want to see us lose and can’t see us losing but if it an
unconvincing win hopefully the RFU will see the light and sack
       him.
