England should go play touch rugby. He might be (and might not
be) solid in the scrum. Is that it? Give Fasogbon a chance at
least, it's 3 years till the next RWC. Or should Cole still be

I'm as excited for Fasogbon as anyone but promoting him any
faster would be doing him a massive disservice. He's in his
first proper senior season and is already appearing for England
A. You can ruin a prop's career by throwing him in too early -
he simply has not had the time to build the physical framework
he needs to survive international rugby for any length of time.
The worst thing we could do is throw him in right now for
regular international play.
You hate Cole, we get it. But the fact remains he is a better
scrum option than his rivals for the bench. That's why he
continues to get picked. He isn't first choice now, so why would
he be first choice in 2027? We don't need a lot of time before
we can safely start filtering the kids in, but there's no point
pretending there are currently better options.
I also don't see how Manu, Farrell, Youngs are relevant to this
side. Borthwick hasn't done a lot right but his phasing out of
Youngs was one of them, anyway.

Not sure where you get the hatred from. Projecting?
Cole is a very good player. He was a great prop. So was Sir
Jase. They must be a similar age though.
The way to find out if someone can step up is to try them.
And the relevance of those others is, if you're following the
thread, that England are somewhat reluctant to move on from
certain players. Not just the current England management. Now
it's Slade. Previously Manu, as an example.

Dan Cole is ten years younger than Jason was when he retired.
But it is not about the current personnel, it is more about the
system that gets youngsters playing, and supports the best to
become world-class players.
Our record in the U20 World Championship is not bad, Quins have
an excellent record of getting players into the U20 squads -
other clubs less so, so why are we not doing better on the test
stage.
England has been called a sleeping giant of rugby, but I think
it is in a deep coma.
Our ranking is closer to that of Japan than to South Africa's.
Something goes wrong between the academies, the Premiership and
the test side.
Is it a lack of the fear of failure? I don't know.

I'm not sure if you're serious or not, but Cole is 37 and
Leonard was 36 when he played his last games for Quins and
England.
