The old box kick tactic is potentially more rewarding now there
no people protecting the jumper. So there is more chance of
regathering the ball if it is contestable. I fear the borefest
will revert to this! However if he wants to win he has to
understand that you can't shut the game down with 15 mins to go,
you have to keep playing. No preplanned replacements for the
fly half would be a good start. Marcus is most effective in his
prime position for the full 80 minutes. How many times have
quins won the game in the last few mins of the game, as we keep
playing to the final whistle. The other teams are trying to
shut the game down.
Controversial but for me the best replacement is Baxter, Exeter
are in a bit of dip but they are still one of the best coached
teams. Vesty or Nick are needed to unlock the backs

Borethicko was a dull player, a bland captain and an even worse
coach. His approach would probably struggle in Nat1 the game has
evolved so much.
The best aspects of our play under Bortethicko has already
resigned.
As a direct replacement I still think Shaun Edwards would be a
great additional, but wouldn’t be surprised to see someone like
Pat Sanderson offered the gig

Not sure what Pat Sanderson has done since he retired. Did you
mean Alex?

Yeah sorry; I think I’ve only ever liked Pat so subconsciously
he sits there

Edwards has already said that he won't leave France, other than
for a Head Coach role. I imagine Al Sanderson is the RFUs 'next
cab off rank' as he's English and has done OK with Sale. At risk
of upsetting Yareet, I don't think an Al Sanderson team wins
anything as he's so like Eddie in how he approaches things, all
about him and I think he's made some naive decisions in big
games (Exeter semi final in 2021) but was unlucky in the final
the following year, losing Ford early but didn't appear to have
a back up.
Not that that would stop the RFU appointing him, of course, as
they just do what the media says when it comes to appointments.
Talk to the senior players, look around the coaches in the Prem.
Who's doing good things with attack/defence/set piece and who
looks like the best orchestrator to pull all of those together.
