And neither was I. Both players have had good games for Quins in
the past, but haven't had much game time. We have a tendency to
think of players who aren't being selected as not good enough,
when in reality there can be other reasons.
For example, there were several posters on this board who were
ready to ditch Will Collier in the period when he was coming
back from injury and before Bomb had worked on fixing his
confidence and technique.

Head will be 26 by the end of the season. He's had 19 senior
appearances for us over the years. At that age I think it's
entirely reasonable to say he's not stepped up and would be a
candidate for moving on, depending on whether it makes financial
sense.
Musk is a year younger but has appeared regularly. Last season
should've been his year to kick on but he went from playing
regularly to only having a couple of prem cup showings and
instead played for Scottish the rest of the season. There is
more of an argument to say he still has a decent future at Quins
but chances are he won't get much game time this season either
and then things are looking a bit concerning for him and his
career as there's a chance he could still be a premiership
regular somewhere else. If Jibulu leaves, I think it's decent
odds we'd keep him for at least another season to be the third
choice and see if he can kick on.
The Collier example is not a good comparison at all. Collier was
playing regularly for Quins for years before his injury woes and
dramatic loss of form. The fact that some fans considered him an
option for moving on is entirely fair - and there's no way Quins
wouldn't have considered the same. But his years of great work
for us and his potential to get back to his very high
scrummaging standards would always be a strong factor in his
favour.
Neither Musk nor Head are in anything like the same situation.
They're more like Jurevicius or Chris York or Harry Sloan or
Stan South or any number of talented players who ended up
leaving to play regularly at a lower level. Perhaps Musk still
has a chance to bloom, and I personally doubt both of them will
move on, but with the best will in the world at some point you
do have to face up to the fact that players who have been on the
books for years and not getting appearances while being
leapfrogged by signings and younger players quite probably
aren't good enough

Jibulu's move to Sale apparently a done deal.
"Sale have completed a deal that will see Harlequins hooker
Nathan Jibulu move to the North-West when his contract runs out
at the end of the season. RugbyPass reported last Sunday that
the Sharks were close to pipping Exeter, who also failed to lure
Seb Blake from Gloucester, in the race to sign the Wimbledon
College-educated former England U20.
Now 21, Nathan Jibulu will move to the Sharks where he is likely
to replace ex-Saracens, Leinster and Connacht ace Tadgh McElroy.
The switch is also set to end any hopes Jack Walker had of
leaving the Twickenham Stoop for the Top 14."

Off to LS Nathan can go then, I don’t want him taking someone
else’s space in the squad. No point giving game time to someone
we can’t develop for our benefit

I'd agree. Whilst his ceiling might well long term be higher
than Riley, at the moment I'm not convinced he is necessary a
better player. So play Riley.

For me he is very obviously one of our two best hookers and I
don't think it's clever to drop players because they won't be
here next season. Particularly difficult to square that idea
coming from someone who is so quick to criticise Quins for any
losses...!

The most worrying comment for me was the Jack Walker looking to
move to Top 14. With all the players that are rumoured to be
looking make me think that it may not be a happy camp.
Might be reading too much into it but seems like a lot want to
leave.
Add those to JM and DC retiring (potentially).

Why would jibulu leaving stop walker moving to top 14? Don't
understand that. Presumably he's in contract and was hoping we'd
let him leave early, but won't if jibulu goes
