Good to see our boys in there again.
Would have liked to see F.Smith in for Ford given I expect Ford
to play against SA. Suspect Fin Smith will be thrown a bone for
the Japan game and wouldn't mind Marcus having a breather.

Why do you expect Ford to start against SA? Surely you would
need him to show he is better than the incumbent which he
certainly hasn't to date!!

Looking forward to Slade doing nothing again with a fine array
of defensive marking pointing and not much else.
Alex will be hoping to make more of an impact off the bench then
he did against NZ

I think he'll be hoping first to get some time on the pitch with
a fly half who knows how to use him. If you're only going to
play him with a fly half who needs a conventional 8, you might
as well not pick him at all.

Sorry wasn't clear. I expect Marcus to start and very much
expect Ford to be the finisher given his experience and
generally been a steady pair of hands (ignoring last Saturday of
course). Feel quite strongly that Marcus deserves the 10 shirt
for every game unless being rested. Which means if we're to see
F.Smith, it'd have to be Japan now that he's not in the Squad
this weekend.

Prem Rugby put out a post on their socials yesterday about
England's top performers. I think it's based on the the points
system they use in Prem Fantasy game (which is Superbru).
1st was Itoje with 8.7pts
2nd Smith with 8.2pts
3rd Slade with 7.5

Interesting to see he's switched Lawrence and Slade. Great to
see Sleightholme on the bench - I hope we'll get to see Freeman
shifted inside to 13 when he comes on, as I think Freeman is a
serious long term option for England at OC.

I'm a bit surprised that Freeman and Slade have stayed in, and
Curry, although I can't quite figure out why Curry isn't
jackling anymore? Adding Sleighthome to the bench helps but how
long will he get?
Marcus has to stay on for the full 80 and only come off if he's
blowing out of his backside or we're 3 scores up with 15 to go
else, regardless of what he says, Borthwick is pre-planning
substitutions.
Let's hope BFA has had some good conversations with Bomb on the
phone this week after those last few scrums
