woefully ineffective against him when they play Quins.

A game isn't played one on one though, is it? Again, that's a
       very simplistic view.
Christian Wade was top of the try scoring stats for ages (before
NFL) but he got, what, 1 cap on a summer tour? Being top of the
stats doesn't paint a full picture of suitability for
international rugby. Someone, somewhere in a position of power
clearly sees things the same way I do.
Hope I'm proved wrong and Evans gets a hatful of caps, but I
don't think he'll get the chance.

and there we go - we are talking about "power" again . . .

Too big, too small, not powerful enough, should he or shouldn’t
he be playing for England. Lots of players don’t get picked for
England, just enjoy his gameplay while he is playing for Quins
and hope Quins can pay him enough to stay at the Stoop.

I'm just bemused that all of the players capped by England don't
use their superpowers every week in the Prem, but save them for
England games. And presumably training camps.
Mind you, the people picking players for England are the people
who consistently picked Farrell over pretty much anyone, and
Young's over DC and others. Maybe Farrell and Youngs have lots
       of power.

And you say others here are looking at things too simplistically
       😂😂😂
I'd say that one factor is having a tactical genius at the helm.
Another would be having arguably the world's best players in a
       number of positions.
But it's probably just the power.

Gatland was a 'tactical genius' for years but it's not helping
       him now, is it?
Sure, SA have lots of the world's best players. But their power,
particularly in the forwards is a huge part of what makes them
the best. International rugby is mostly about winning
collisions, whether you or anyone else likes it or wants to
       believe it.

Nobody thinks he's a tactical genius now. Like nobody is saying
Gareth Edwards is a brilliant scrum half now.
As for SA, your exact words were "South Africa are back to back
world champions purely because they are the most powerful team
on the planet." Purely power, eh? 😂😂😂

Well, they had a bit of luck, too. If Etzebeth had been held to
the same standards as Farrell following his tackle on Atonio,
they might not have won the subsequent games by one point each.

No doubt. There's luck in every game. But I'm sure we can pick
every game apart. SA have lost games they should have won due to
appalling ref decisions. So have Quins. And England have won
games where the reverse has happened. I recall a very bad tackle
by Farrell himself on Andre which went unpunished.
