I have been looking at the replays of the winning conversion. I
am surprised it wasn’t checked. The ball appears to fly over the
left hand post. The touch judges are standing by the post which
makes it very difficult for them to see the trajectory of the
ball. Why don’t they stand further back?
They raise their flags after seeing the ball caught between the
posts but the ball flight is bending and from where it was
kicked that would be the trajectory for it flying over the top
       of the posts.
The commentators call “got it” way before the ball is anywhere
       near the posts.
England were robbed of a draw!

Have you seen a replay from a camera other than the pitch side
       one behind the ball?

No. At least not until now. It’s odd. on another angle the ball
is a lot lower so maybe not robbed after all!
However the touch judge position does seem a bit strange.
       Anyway onto the next one

When i run touch, I usually try to align myself so that there is
a straight line from me to the post to the kicker - I've found
it the most reliable way to tell if the ball goes the right side
of the post. You can also cover both posts reasonably reliably
if there's only one of you.
WR's approach seems to be to have them directly behind the
posts, though, which I guess allows them to look up along the
       post and achieve something similar.

Yes, I think the kick was good and didn't cross the line as high
as you thought. From the camera angle I described it would be
impossible to tell but none of the England players seemed at all
concerned. Also, the commentators would have been higher up
behind the kicker; they would have seen it from a much better
       angle.
As you say, onto the next one! [emoji2]
