A potential edge for Quins is that Dombrandt, Lamb and Baxter
are all also very good at the breakdown, whereas their Bath
equivalents are not so well known for it. That said, I imagine
Obano is almost impossible to move if he gets over the ball.
It's interesting, given how much fuss was made (and is being
made) about finding a replacement for Andre, how quickly we've
accepted Lenny. It's another in a long line of Quins replacing
the apparently irreplaceable - though I think it's fair to say
we've found that harder to do with centres than in most other
positions.
He spent a long time being stretched out after his try last week
and left the field not long thereafter, so even if he's
technically fit they may be protecting him a little. Be
interesting to see if Northmore has adapted better to 12 over
the summer. He looks like he should be a good fit there but just
seems to go better at 12.

That bench will certainly add some oomph!
On reflection, I'd have liked to see Chis start at 8 with
Dommers on the bench. He's been out a few weeks and whilst
undoubtedly fit, may be better to be eased into the game. Also,
Chis played well last week. But Chis, CCS and Irne coming off
the bench? That's a useful amount of heft.

I'd back WEv against anyone else in the Prem. It would be nice
to think it will help him stake an England claim, but I doubt it
will.

Good to see the returnees. I am really enjoying our second row
situation these days. I remember the season when Danger was
pretty much our only senior lock for a long time.

Still not seen Northmore play anything like he does at 13, when
playing 12 unless he'll stand in for Marcus at 1st receiver and
take the back row hits to enable Marcus to get clear against
Russell?

That's a pretty strong team. Only concern with it is whether all
the returnees will be at full throttle and fully integrated into
the defensive patterns.
Strong Bath lineup too. Not sure how this will go. Our inability
to put together two good performances in a row remains a worry.

I think it's too early to say Lenny has successfully replaced
Andre but he's certainly made a good start and based on form I'd
like to have seen him retain the shirt. As you say, he might be
feeling the effects from Sunday which is why they've made the
call.
Be interesting to see how Northmore goes at 12 and I wonder if
this signals Beard stepping in to the 13 shirt on a more
permanent basis. I do think outside centre will end up being
his best position rather than wing.
